Clinical interests

Miss Srinivas in a fellowship trained Orthopaedic Spinal surgeon with a full time NHS commitment to treat adult and paediatric spinal conditions both at Sheffield Children’s Hospital and the Northern General Hospital. Her clinical interests are in paediatric spinal deformity, adult trauma, tumour and degenerative conditions.

Qualifications and training

Shreya was appointed as a Consultant spinal surgeon in Sheffield in May 2020, after a short stint as Locum Consultant at Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Birmingham.

She received her medical qualifications from Rajiv Gandhi University in India (2003) and has completed her Specialist Orthopaedic training in Newcastle, Middlesbrough and Liverpool.

She was a Research fellow at the Nottingham Spine unit (2008-09) and has advanced fellowship experience as AO North America Spine Fellow(2017-18) at the Vancouver Spine surgery Institute and Paediatric Spine fellow (2018-19) at Alder Hey Children’s hospital in Liverpool, UK.

Research and Education

Shreya has extensive clinical research experience with published papers in peer reviewed journals and several scientific presentations at National and International conferences. She maintains a keen interest to be a Surgeon trainer – educator and is engaged in educational activities for registrars and medical students. Her research interests are in intraoperative navigation in paediatric scoliosis and registry-based research studies.
