Sheffield Children’s begins search for new non-executive director

Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a new non-executive director to join the Trust’s Board of Directors and help influence its strategic direction over the coming year.

The new non-executive director will join a highly capable Board that prides itself on keeping patients at the heart of its decisions.

Sheffield Children’s is the only dedicated children’s trust in the country that provides care for children and young people across community, mental health and acute specialist settings.

This role is a new role that has been created to provide more capacity and help the Trust navigate an increasingly complex environment. Whilst we are open to candidates with all skill sets, applications from candidates who can demonstrate experience in partnership working and collaboration, the digital agenda or research and innovation are particularly welcomed.

The successful candidate will have a track record of leadership, strategic focus and personal achievement in a complex environment. They will need the ability to influence the strategic direction of the organisation and have a passion for developing the quality of service provided by the Trust. They will also need to act as an ambassador and advocate for the Trust.

Chair of the Trust, Professor Laura Serrant CBE, said: “We are looking for someone who can bring a level of experience as well as a fresh perspective and insight to our Board.”
