Many of our outpatient clinics and all our inpatient beds are at Sheffield Children’s Hospital and we have intensive care and high dependency units to support our surgical and trauma services. This is also the site of our Emergency Department.
The Becton Centre for Children and Young People is a state-of-the-art centre for children and young adults aged up to 18 with mental health issues and learning disabilities. The centre offers intensive outreach treatment, day and inpatient services.
Our primary mental health services and some medical services are provided from Centenary House. This is also the base for our community CAMHS, community paediatrics and child health, and the Looked After and Adopted Children’s Health Care Team.
We see children with a range of complex neurological disorders at the Ryegate Children’s Centre and the outpatients department holds specialist neurology and neurodisability clinics on a daily basis. We also have a respite centre here.
‘The Spark’ is a Sheffield Children’s site on the Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park in Attercliffe, Sheffield. The Spark is a home for some Sheffield Children’s outpatient appointments. It is also the home of the National Centre of Child Health Technology.

Our CAMHS teams offer emotional support, advice and signposting for the children and young people. Helplines are also available by calling 111 or 0800 068 4141. These are available 24/7, 365 days a year.
Members of our Youth Forum get involved in all areas of the Trust from visiting departments to sitting on interview panels. They also advise on how we can make things better for patients.
